| | "The total disintegration of civil society and the collapse of the economy under the rule of President Mugabe have left the people of Zimbabwe in a desperate state. We can only hope that soon they will be allowed to begin the rebuilding of their country. The A to Z Trust is one of a number of really important channels by which well-targeted giving can make a difference both to the crisis relief, and also, we pray, to the long term rebuilding that must surely come soon. I commend the A to Z Trust for the steps they are taking to prepare for the restoration of the education system, and hope that many in the UK will rally in support of the children of Zimbabwe who have suffered so much."
